You are invited to the documentary screening at AudioActive Worthing on Friday 13th September from 7.30pm, with a 10% discount code (DOCO2024)  for TTW members: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/btbg-filmfestival-13th-sept-documentary-film-screening-tickets-921393060447

The winner this year is a great film from Cornwall’s climate group – Cornwall’s Climate Stories a three part film:

“Under the Surface”-  explores how rising awareness of plastic pollution might be overshadowing the more urgent issue of climate change’s impact on Cornwall’s marine life. Hosted by Claire Wallerstein, it features experts discussing the effects on basking sharks, plankton, seals, and seabirds, while highlighting local efforts to restore the marine environment.

“Plenty More Fish?” narrated by fisherman Ben Church, examines how climate change is affecting Cornwall’s fishing industry, from shifting fish species to more acidic waters. It also highlights innovative solutions, such as zero-carbon fishing boats and tackling invasive species.

“Living on the Edge” Cornwall’s coastline, known for its dramatic waves, faces growing threats from rising sea levels and worsening storms due to climate change. Ultra-runner Emma Hazeldine guides viewers along the Cornish coast path, exploring communities already feeling these impacts and uncovering responses to the challenges ahead.

Claire Wallerstein will be there to do the Q&A after the story and it would be great for her to connect with members of our group.

There is also a Short Film night on Saturday 14 Sept from 8pm – https://wtm.uk/events/between-the-blue-green-film-festival-short-film-screening-15/
