Breathing Spaces in February
“Where would we be without flowers and trees, they lift the soul.” Dorothy.
We agree whole-heartedly with Dorothy, but it is February and it can seem a bit bleak and bare outside. Certainly our ‘farm’ flowers are nowhere in sight, especially because we don’t use any additional heat in the polytunnel to force them into blooming this early.
Fairtrade Fortnight
Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 22nd Feb to 7th March.
The Fairtrade Foundation need your help to put farmers’ voices at the heart of tackling the climate crisis and share the reality of their struggles.
Wildflower Trail
Green Tides has secured National Lottery funding to help develop a website (now under development) which will showcase all the local wonderful wildflower sites.
The aim is to encourage more and more people to get out there and enjoy our local greenspaces and even have a go at growing some wildflowers themselves!
Transition Greenspaces – January Update
Things have slowed down considerably in our community gardens during January, principally due to lockdown and not being quite sure what was permitted, so we decided to go with 1:1's working to all the usual guidelines.
